Always a great meal

I've ordered from Mowgli several times now, and they're consistently good. This last time I got the Mowgli House Chicken, and it was just as flavorful as I remember from my previous visits. The delivery was quick, about 40 minutes to my place. It's why I keep coming back, never had a bad experience with them.

Pretty good, nice curry

So I tried Mowgli Street Food for the first time last week. Grabbed the Goan Fish Curry and some Fenugreek Fries. It was actually really tasty, spiced just right, not too hot. Delivery took about an hour, which was fine. Felt like a good night in, pretty chill overall.

Amazing food, loved it!

I tried the Gunpowder Chicken and the Tea Steeped Chickpeas from Mowgli, and oh my goodness, it was absolutely incredible! Every bite was bursting with flavor. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and those chickpeas were so unique. It arrived hot and fresh, made my evening! I'm already planning my next order, probably going to get the Maa's Lamb Chops. You HAVE to try them!

Good value with the deal

I decided to try Mowgli for the first time, mostly because of the set menu deal they had running. I picked the School Tiffin and added a Gulab Jamun. For the price, it felt like a really good deal. The portion was decent, and the flavors were authentic. It was definitely worth the money I spent, especially with the discount. Made me feel like I got a good amount of food without breaking the bank.

Smooth order, delicious food

I placed an order for the Office Worker's Tiffin Box and some Pani Puri for a late lunch. The website was easy to navigate, and the ordering process was straightforward. Confirmation email came through immediately. The food arrived within the estimated 45 minutes, well-packaged and still warm. The Tiffin Box was a great way to try a few different dishes, and the flavors were spot on, really fresh. The Pani Puri were a fun addition, though a couple had collapsed a bit in transit. Customer service wasn't needed, but the whole process from start to finish was very efficient. Definitely a good option for Indian food.

Are their gift cards physical or can I just get an e-gift card online to send to someone?

I Ivy J. 1 month ago
You can definitely buy Mowgli gift cards online, I got one for my sister last Christmas and it was an e-gift card. Super easy.

Yeah, they sell them online. I think you get the option for an e-card or a physical one to be mailed, but the e-version is instant.

Is it easy to get a table as a walk-in, or should I definitely book ahead? Planning to go for lunch on a weekday.

J June 1 month ago
For weekday lunch, you might be okay as a walk-in, especially if you go a bit earlier or later than peak. But if you have a specific time, booking is always safer. It can get busy.

I've walked in for lunch before and gotten a table, but it really depends on the location and time. If you're going with more than two people, I'd book just to be safe.

Hey, thinking of trying Mowgli for my birthday. Do they do anything special for birthdays, like a free dessert or something?

N Neil Carter 1 month ago
Yeah, I think they do a birthday treat. You usually have to sign up for their newsletter or something a bit beforehand though, I remember getting an email for mine.

My friend got a free dessert when we went for her birthday last month. Definitely worth asking when you book or when you get there.

Do they usually have any promo codes floating around? Trying to save a few quid on a big order for a group.

J June 1 month ago
Promo codes for actual food are super rare, almost never see them. They mainly do discounts for students or NHS with ID, or specific lunch deals.

S Sam D. 1 month ago
Nah, don't count on finding a code. They do have gift card promos sometimes, but for food orders, it's usually just those verified ID discounts.

Is Mowgli Street Food generally considered pretty authentic Indian or is it more of a Westernized take? Trying to decide between them and Dishoom.

M Marcus 2 months ago
It's pretty authentic for street food vibes, less curries like you'd get at a traditional place. Dishoom is also great but Mowgli has a different feel, more home-style. Both good though!

I'd say Mowgli is more like what you'd actually eat at home or quick bites in India, not the super rich restaurant stuff. Dishoom is a bit more polished maybe? Both are solid choices honestly.
